We’re pleased to have been chosen by The Portsmouth Brewery as beneficiary of their Community Pint Day, held every Tuesday through June.
For each beer you buy at The Portsmouth Brewery on Tuesdays, the brewery will donate 25 cents to the charity of your choice. You’ll get a wooden token with your beer order – just place it in the box marked Blue Ocean Society on your way out! The funds raised through this event will be used to expand our research and education programs right here in the Seacoast.
Being chosen for Community Pint Night feels a bit like life has gone full circle. The idea for this organization started taking shape when our co-founder Dianna Schulte and I patronized the Brewery occasionally after our whale watches back in the late 1990’s. After realizing that we had a unique set of data and the enthusiasm and passion to educate people about the ocean, we decided to start Blue Ocean Society. With all the changes in Portsmouth over the years, it’s nice to know that the Brewery is still there and supports not only our organization, but many other worthy organizations in the region.
