In the heart of Hampton Beach, there’s a place where you can learn about the ocean and take action to protect marine life.
Our Blue Ocean Discovery Center, which is located just north of the Sea Shell stage, has two tanks that exhibit local marine invertebrates and algae, and a touch tank where you can learn about different species and how to safely handle them. You can also learn about whales, touch whale artifacts such as baleen, discover how a lobster trap works, and ask questions of our educators.
Our knowledgeable educators will share fun facts about species and lead you in investigations! Once you’ve finished exploring the Center, take action by participating in a self-guided beach cleanup!
The Center is open daily during the summer, and admission is a suggested donation of $1+ for anyone over 2 years of age. Check out our hours
