This season, we were excited to see almost all of our adoptable whales!

We’ll have a more detailed 2016 sightings recap in an upcoming post, but so far, it’s been an incredible season. One of the highlights was seeing Pinball and her often energetic calf. Many times we were fortunate to see the calf breaching, flipper-slapping and doing other surface behaviors while its mom went down to feed.
We also got to spend lots of time with Owl, who appeared in both the mid-summer and fall. Dingle and Scar also made several appearances, often close to shore. The only adoptable whale missing was Fjord, who was perhaps in another area this summer.
